Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Residents, Visitors and staff were all entertained by singer Charles this afternoon. He sang a variety of songs, old favourites and some more recent hits.
Residents and several visiting relatives all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon singing along to old favourites including “Penny Arcade”, “I am a Working Man”, “The Impossible Dream” and “Twist and Shout” to name a few.
Most of our residents chose to attend but others preferred to stay for some of the entertainment before returning to the relative quiet of Cumbrae lounge and enjoyed a quiet cuppa.
Angela, our cook for the day, then provided a three-course meal to celebrate. Her St. Patrick’s Day menu included Homemade Lentil Soup and Irish Stew followed by Carrot Cake for dessert.
The simple but tasty menu was a hit with everyone. Having worked up an appetite singing earlier in the afternoon, it certainly hit the spot with our residents
