Labour Party Visit

Saturday, 25 April 2015

On Saturday 25th April, Labour party representatives visited our home. The May election is drawing closer; therefore our residents and staff had a chance to meet Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah as well as our local electoral appointee Kenny Selbie.

All Residents and Staff enjoyed a visit today from Gordon Brown, his wife Sarah, Alex Rowley Labour MSP for Cowdenbeath and Kenny Selbie the local Labour electoral appointee.
Gordon Brown returned to Chambers Court 16 years after he officially opened our home on 9th April 1999.

He remembered opening the home and spoke with Liz Campbell about it. Liz then showed him the commemorative photograph and plaque that is on display at our front door.
They introduced themselves to residents in all three units, shook hands, chatted to many of them and took some photographs.

They were very friendly and residents liked their company.
Resident Jenny sang to Gordon's wife Sarah and they learned that in June she will be 100 years old.
They were impressed with our home and thanked the residents for having them.
