Service users and staff attended a day out at the union canal in Edinburgh.
The residents and staff all went to Ratho on the bus to the union canal, The trip was run by The Seagull Trust charity whoever gives this service free of charge, however abbotsford Bayview gave a cash dontation which they were thrilled with. we were met by the skipper David and welcomed on the barge.
The lady on the boat was called Susie, she explained to us about how the trip would run, she also told us there had been a kingfisher spotted on the canal, which when we were on the trip we spotted a few times but had no luck getting a picture. After eating our homemade picnic we were treated with complimentary tea and coffee.
The sun was shining so we were able to sit at out on the deck at the front and take in the breathtaking scenery. Service users and Christians daughter Linda were all very happy about how the day went. There were lots of fun memories and service users said they would return again.
