Dementia Awareness Week – Coffee Morning

Friday, 24 May 2019

This week has been Dementia Awareness week and we had set up a week full of fun for our residents, their family and friends.

On Friday, we had our coffee morning and our residents in Chambers Court were joined by family, friends and fellow residents from Argyle and Bute House.

Everyone enjoyed a tea or coffee with a filled roll, from a choice of fillings prepared by cook Diane and Robbie, accompanied with a cake to finish.

Everyone had a great time chatting and taking part in a raffle for items that had been kindly donated by Rachel’s daughter Alice and Lily’s friends.

We would also like to thank the local businesses that helped with donations towards our coffee morning.

Greggs the bakers for their kind donations of cakes, The Candee Man for donating strawberry, orange and coffee creams and Stephens the bakers for the donation of rolls.

We would also like to thank staff member Gemma for making delicias cupcakes.

Thank you very much to everyone for their donations, our residents along with their relatives and friends had a lovely morning.

In total for Dementia Awareness Week, we raised £383.10 towards our resident’s funds and £100.00 For Alzheimer’s Scotland.
